Brake Failures

The two major reasons for brake failures are: damaged or poorly connected brake power cut-off switches, and burnt controllers. For the former, check the connections and repair. For the latter, the controller will need replacement – be sure to tighten the screws to prevent detachment and short circuit from road vibrations.

Charger Not Charging

A non-working charger could be due to: blown fuses, disconnected battery wiring, damaged charging port, or defective batteries. The fixes are: replacing the fuse, reconnecting wires, changing the port, or repairing/replacing batteries.

Severely Reduced Battery Life

This is likely sulfurization, which can be repaired with professional equipment using positive and negative pulsed frequencies to remove crystallized lead sulfate.

Non-working Dashboard Lights

Causes can include: poor wire connections, burnt-out light tubes, or circuit board faults. Solutions are: checking connections, changing tubes, or replacing/fixing the circuit board.

Sudden Power Loss While Riding

This may be due to: loose power plug connections, speed controller failure, or brake power cut-off. Try: checking plugs, repairing the controller, or using the brakes a few times.
