Keep unknown fields visible rather than filling them with assumptions. Extend the pre-shipment inspection checklist

Photograph each seating position the same way across samples, so a later batch can be compared against the accepted record.

Consistency matters as much as presence. A fleet batch should not mix belt types or anchorage layouts between units without a documented change. Keep draft-stage language out of the contract

The stronger instruments are quieter: a documented configuration record for the accepted units, and a change-notification clause requiring the supplier to disclose, in writing and before shipment, any change to belts, anchorages, or related structure on repeat batches.

Gate the next batch on evidence, not headlines

If the draft standard advances during the batch cycle, the watch row captures it and the change clause routes it into a documented decision — accept, retest one unit, or hold.
